DEADLINE APPROACHING FOR NEW HAVEN SUMMER CAMPS

(6/17/2010) NEW HAVEN- The deadline to register children for New Haven Department of Parks, Recreation & Trees summer camps is approaching. Residents have until June 28 to enroll their children in one of more than a dozen educational, recreational and other enrichment programs.

The camps serve children from 5 to 15 years old and run for three consecutive two-week sessions from June 28 through August 6. Camps are located in over a dozen locations throughout New Haven. Children can participate in a variety of activities including: swimming, mountain biking, kayaking, field trips and arts & crafts.

Residents and non-residents may enroll in summer camp. Camp costs vary and a limited number of scholarships are available based upon need.
